“GENÇNET” PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR KONRAD-ADENAUER-STIFTUNG
GencNET, which is a part of ARI Movement and organized this year for the 9th time, is a youth organization which aims to encourage the youth to get involved in social life.
This organization is held every year with the promotion of important participants and supporters and the contribution of hundreds of young people. The young participants are not only listening to successful professionals, but they also get the chance to be active and express their ideas on a certain topic.
Besides, the organization takes place in the national press, but also there will be a live broadcast on GencNET organization in one of the national channels. Thus, it further motivates the youth and impacts the overall synergy more positively.
Through such a platform, the young people can overcome the difficulties with their self expression abilities, which is a crucial social problem. This has a substantial contribution to the formation of the forthcoming leaders of our society. Therefore, GencNET, which is organized by and for young people, helps to put forward those, who have a leadership potential.
This year’s topic of the GencNET conference was chosen to be “The Environment, Energy and Technology”, in order to increase the sensitivity and consciousness of the youth and the society in the issues of global warming and the recent rise of the energy prices.
This year’s speakers are chosen from all three topics; Environment, Energy and Technology, with their high expertise and professions on those topics. On environment theme Duygu Erten (Director of Turkey, Clinton Climate Initiative), on energy theme Jan Nahum (Head of Executive Board, Hexagon) and on technology theme Ayşegül İldeniz (Director of Middle East-Turkey-Africa Regions, Intel) will be our speakers.
Today, people, who have decision making powers, and also companies and consumers feel themselves responsible to improve a better understanding in the interconnected issues of environment, energy and technology. Recently companies and governments put great emphasis on this topic, not because they want to ensure the satisfaction of their consumers or for propaganda reasons, but for humanitarian reasons. We have pushed the envelope of our world and it is vital to take these issues into consideration to ensure further life quality. Thus, GençNET has chosen “the Environment, Energy and Technology”, as this year’s topic.
In this context, the supporters of GençNET will not only advertise themselves by this organization, but they will also get the chance to show their sympathy in terms of environmental, energy and technological issues to the general public.
Regarding that, if it would be approved by your institution, we would appreciate your contribution of 8000 euro to cover our organizational costs of this year’s GençNET.
Yours Sincerely,
URAL AKÜZÜM CHAIRMAN ARI MOVEMENT |
